In response to Cool Hunting brief, which invited creation with color, the Albers vase, a colorful version of Splash (see Accessories), blends the typologies of flower frog and vase. The two-part vase creates a third color where the pieces nest. Inspired by Interaction of Color, Joseph Albers’ experiments in studying and teaching the subject, the vase is handcrafted of borosilicate glass, notoriously difficult to color.
